GLS Show Chorus is the Valpo area’s premier show chorus for women.
We are a group of fun-loving, hardworking and dynamic women of all ages, occupations and backgrounds enjoying a musical journey of education and entertainment while advancing the musical art form of four part barbershop harmony.
Founded 20 years ago, this chapter of Sweet Adelines International has entertained audiences with it’s special brand of four-part harmony throughout the Northwest Indiana region.
GLS Chorus performs a variety of music, including old standards, Broadway show-stoppers, contemporary, pop, country, gospel and patriotic numbers -- giving audiences a quality performance that leaves them smiling and humming a familiar tune.
Our chorus is dedicated in the effort to preserve and celebrate barbershop music in educating both performers and listeners in the elements of it’s style, specifically unaccompanied four-part harmony vocalized by amateur enthusiasts, and to strive to do our best to represent the Sweet Adelines International organization by working for musical and performance excellence while maintaining an atmosphere of sisterhood , friendship and fun in all that we do.
